 7-7-01 Ahoy there!!! Proposed Marine Protection Areas The California Department of Fish and Game is planning to declare over 50 square miles off limits to fishing. Among the proposed closed area are such popular fishing spots as the Farallone Islands, the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve (the reef area off of Montara), Aņo Nuevo Natural bridges and Soquel canyon. We need to show up and voice our opinions.
